On August 21st, under the guidance of the Organizing Committee of the "Innovation in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the launching ceremony of the 2025 "Innovation in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Putuo Division), hosted by the Science and Technology Commission of Putuo District, was held at Chuangying·TOP Mass Innovation Space. With the theme of "Gathering in Putuo via Competition, Sailing for Innovation and Wisdom", this event joined hands with all parties to build a "government-industry-university-research-application-finance-service-park" docking and exchange platform, providing full-chain support for sci-tech innovation enterprises.

Leaders from units including the Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Center, the Science and Technology Commission of Putuo District, Taopu Smart Innovation City Co., Ltd., Lingang Group Industrial Development Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank Putuo Sub-branch attended the event.

The competition is not only about "selecting seeds" but also "nurturing seedlings".

This year, Putuo District has upgraded its policies to support innovation and entrepreneurship. It has specially formulated support policies for participating enterprises, granting direct project approval without review for eligible participating projects under the district-level sci-tech innovation program.

Putuo also actively leverages its location advantages as the starting point of the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, as well as its agglomeration and first-mover advantages. It connects with cities along the belt, facilitates the flow of innovative factors such as talents, capital and data, accelerates the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and provides stronger support for potential enterprises (such as award-winning enterprises in the competition) through the joint implementation of the sci-tech innovation "Seed Program".

Since the registration for the competition opened, the Science and Technology Commission of Putuo District has worked with sub-districts/towns, investment promotion centers, sci-tech innovation carriers and venture capital institutions to conduct extensive mobilization, delivering competition information to every sci-tech enterprise door-to-door.

Pre-competition training and mock defenses have turned "first-time participation" into "first-time success". Through a series of activities held in Tiandi Software Park, Tongji University Science and Technology Park (Putuo Park) and Duolimi Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, the Commission has solved the pain points of enterprises in participating in the competition face-to-face and provided targeted guidance on roadshow skills. It has also linked up with supporting units such as Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank Haina Town Sub-branch to connect with financial resources such as the "Qihang Loan" in advance, enabling enterprises to enjoy resource convenience as soon as they enter the competition.

The "Innovation in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has attracted nearly 70,000 sci-tech innovation enterprises to register and participate in total. Among them, more than 890 enterprises have won excellent awards in the national competition, 17,000 high-quality enterprises have received approximately 2 billion yuan in municipal-level innovation fund support, and 94 listed enterprises have emerged from the competition.

Moreover, the competition is transforming from a single event into a large platform that gathers resources from all parties. It provides refined services around the sci-tech entrepreneurship chain and effectively stimulates the vitality of market entities.

The Science and Technology Commission of Putuo District will continue to track the needs of enterprises, and through policy implementation and resource docking, help more sci-tech "golden seeds" take root and grow in Putuo, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of the region.

Shanghai DeSUN ECOTECH CO., Ltd, located in the Changfeng area of Putuo, has participated in the competition for two consecutive years. This year, it has advanced from the "Start-up Group" to the "Growth Group" in terms of competition category.

In accordance with the Notice on Holding the 2025 "Innovation in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Hu Ke [2025] No. 153), after processes such as the preliminary roadshow and expert review, 39 projects are proposed to advance to the rematch of the Putuo Division this year, including 24 projects in the Start-up Group and 15 projects in the Growth Group. The list (see attachment for details) is now publicized to accept public supervision.

The competition will enter the team competition stage, and the team competition in the field of new-generation information technology will also be held in Putuo, continuing to unleash the surging vitality of Putuo's sci-tech innovation ecosystem.
